High School Students

Commonwealth College Access Grant (CCAG) 

Implemented in Spring of 2017, is being offered to eligible high school juniors and seniors who wish to begin pursuing their undergraduate studies by enrolling in a Dual and/or Early Enrollment Program at the Northern Marianas College. This type of assistance is the LAST DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIP (not to exceed $500 per academic year) and will be given at the end of each term directly to the institution.  

All interested applicants must have a high school cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.75 or higher, registered part-time (1-11 credits) for college-level courses (No non-developmental courses or repeated courses) at Northern Marianas College, and hold a maintaining CGPA of 2.75. This aid is to be used only for college tuition, fees, books, and any other cost-related expense towards obtaining a college degree.

An applicant must create a student profile and complete the online application no later than the following established annual deadlines of July 1st and Dec 15th.  Applications submitted before or on the July 1st deadline are valid for the entire academic year.  

All supporting documents must be submitted as a complete package no later than the following established deadlines:

NEW APPLICANTS (First-time applicant)

  1. Acceptance Letter 
  2. Official Transcript - high school showing CGPA
  3. Proof of Citizenship (Valid US Passport)*
  4. Parents/Guardians proof of a CNMI Registered Voter (Voter's Certification Report)**
  5. Proof of three (3) years consecutive CNMI residency***
  6. Class Schedule

ONGOING (Applicant who was awarded last academic year)

  1. Acceptance Letter (only when changing institution)
  2. Official Transcript - both high school & college showing CGPA 
  3. Proof of Citizenship (Valid US Passport)*
  4. Parents/Guardians proof of a CNMI Registered Voter (Voter's Certification Report)**
  5. Class Schedule

Interested students' parents/legal guardians must meet the following requirements if they are not registered, voters:

  1. Must NOT be a citizen of the United States;
  2. Submit copies of CNMI 1040 showing paid taxes for 3 consecutive years prior to enrollment; and/or
  3. Employment verification for the last consecutive three years prior to enrollment.
